Who We Are

We are passionate people motivated to be the change. We believe in the power of small actions and kindness. We don’t want to be beholden to the government and institutions. We are self-sufficient. We have no office, property or paid staff. Our motto is, ‘if you eat, you’re in!’ We are interested in learning from our mistakes. We’re keen to try new approaches and we believe it’s sometimes better to ask for forgiveness, not permission. It’s not a dress rehearsal so we all need to crack on!

Incredible Edible Todmorden Unlimited held its final general meeting in November 2015. Why? Because from 27th October 2015, we became a Community Benefit Society. For a while we wondered whether to register as a charity or as a cooperative, but decided that a Community Benefit Society is exactly what we are.
